Chief Industries, Inc Careers - Construction Management Intern

Chief Construction is seeking a motivated and driven Construction Management Intern to join the Chief team. This Internship opportunity is designed for college students who have completed their junior year and are entering their senior year. This internship will provide hands-on experience in various aspects of construction management, site coordination, subcontractor management, and project scheduling.

Job Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with our concrete crew to learn and assist in the process of concrete construction, including forming, pouring, and finishing.
• Work alongside our steel erection crew to understand and participate in the assembly and installation of structural steel components.
• Shadow our experienced project superintendents to gain insight into managing construction sites, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within budget
• Assist project managers in various tasks such as project scheduling, cost estimating, procurement, and client communication.
• Participate in project meetings, site visits, and inspections to observe and learn from real-world construction scenarios.
• Support the construction team in maintaining a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and regulations.

Qualifications and Skill Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Basic knowledge of construction methods, materials, and terminology is preferred but not required.
• Completed junior year of college and entering senior year status.
