Directions Credit Union is searching for a dynamic, visionary Chief Information Officer (CIO) to drive our technology strategy and help us build stronger communities. If you’re passionate about innovation, operational excellence, and making a real impact, we want to meet you!

What You’ll Do:

  • Set the Vision: Lead all IT, network, security, and data functions. You’ll shape our technology roadmap and ensure it aligns with our mission to empower financial wellness and member success.
  • Champion Innovation: Modernize our tech stack, drive digital transformation, and bring fresh ideas to the table. You’ll evaluate and implement emerging technologies to keep us ahead of the curve.
  • Guard Our Data: Oversee cybersecurity, data governance, and IT compliance—protecting our members’ trust and ensuring regulatory alignment.
  • Inspire Teams: Build, mentor, and energize a high-performing IT and Data teams. Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and professional growth.
  • Deliver Results: Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and strategic partnerships.
  • Be a Change Maker: Serve as a key member of the senior leadership team, influencing organizational strategy and communicating your vision to staff, leadership, and the Board of Directors.
  • Maximize Value: Ensure our investment in systems and technology delivers maximum value to the organization and our members.
  • Promote Core Values: Live out our values—teamwork, innovation, ethics, community, and inclusivity—in every interaction, both internally and externally.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, IT Management, or related field.
  • 10–15 years of progressive senior IT leadership, network/security, and data management experience (financial industry experience preferred).
  • Certifications such as ITIL, COBIT, CISM, or PMP are a plus.
  • Proven ability in strategic planning, technology development, and implementation.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and business acumen.
  • A passion for innovation, ethical leadership, and community impact.
