Description

Take the next step with a respected commercial mechanical contractor serving New York City and Northern New Jersey, delivering winning bids and high-quality HVAC and mechanical solutions. This Chief Mechanical Estimator opportunity is a 100% on-site leadership role based in Paramus, NJ, overseeing high-impact projects across the region.

Qualifications and responsibilities for this Chief Mechanical Estimator position include:

8-10+ years of commercial mechanical/HVAC estimating experience, including 2-3+ years in a senior or supervisory estimating role
Strong experience estimating projects in the NYC/Northern NJ market
Lead, mentor, and supervise estimating personnel and support pre-construction planning
Oversee the bidding process from initial screening through final submission
Analyze complex blueprints, specifications, and scope documents to produce accurate estimates
Present estimates, margin analyses, and risk assessments to executive leadership for bid approval
Partner on value engineering and design-build cost strategies with engineers, architects, owners, and GCs
Maintain historical cost databases, standard estimating templates, and modernized computerized take-off workflows

Salary: $125,000 - $150,000 per year.

Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision after 90 days; 401(k) with up to 4% company match; 2 weeks PTO.
