Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the nursing department, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices in patient care.
- Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures that align with the organizations mission and goals.
- Collaborate with medical staff and other departments to promote interdisciplinary communication and teamwork.
- Monitor and evaluate patient care practices, outcomes, and staff performance to ensure excellence in service delivery.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development among nursing staff.
- Manage the nursing budget, including staffing levels, resource allocation, and operational costs.
- Serve as a liaison between nursing staff and administration, advocating for the needs and concerns of the nursing team.
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices in nursing and healthcare.
- Participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes at the executive level.
- Ensure effective recruitment, retention, and training of nursing personnel.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required, Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred
- Current nursing license and certification in the state of practice.
- Minimum of 7 years of nursing experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, quality assurance, and patient safety standards.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to patient-centered care and community
- Proven experience in nursing leadership and management roles
- Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse healthcare professionals and stakeholders
- Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Commitment to patient-centered care and quality improvement
- Advanced certifications such as Nurse Executive (NE-BC) are a plus
