Job Description

Position Summary

The Chief Revenue Cycle & Compliance Officer is a hybrid leadership role responsible for   overseeing all aspects of the organization’s revenue cycle while ensuring operational compliance with federal, state, and organizational regulatory standards. This position combines financial operational leadership with regulatory oversight, serving as the key point of authority on both  revenue optimization and compliance adherence.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

·         Developing assessment strategy: Leading the development of comprehensive assessment plans, aligning assessment goals with organizational objectives, and selecting appropriate assessment methods. 

·         Assessment design and implementation: Overseeing the design and development of assessments, including criteria, rubrics, and scoring procedures, and ensuring their proper implementation across different departments or programs. 

·         Data analysis and interpretation: Analyzing assessment data to identify strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement, interpreting results to inform decision-making, and presenting findings to key stakeholders. 

·         Quality assurance: Establishing and maintaining quality standards for assessment practices, including data collection, analysis, and reporting, ensuring reliability and validity of assessment results. 

·         Department Engagement: Collaborating with various departments to integrate assessment practices into their operations, providing training on assessment procedures, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. 

·         Reporting and communication: Preparing comprehensive assessment reports for leadership, highlighting key findings and recommendations based on data analysis, effectively communicating assessment results to relevant audiences. 

·         Compliance oversight: Ensuring compliance with relevant assessment regulations and standards, including accreditation requirements where applicable. 

·         Budget management: Managing the budget allocated for assessment activities, including resource allocation for assessment development and administration. 

·         Research and development: Exploring new assessment methodologies and technologies to enhance the effectiveness of evaluation practices. 

·         Accreditation support: Leading the preparation for accreditation reviews, ensuring the organization can demonstrate its effectiveness through assessment data. 

·         Completes all other duties as assigned

Skills and qualifications

·         Bachelor’s degree plus 10 years’ experience in Revenue Cycle, Finance and Operations necessary. 

·         Minimum of 5 years’ experience in designing and implementing assessments across various contexts 

·         10 years in data analysis and interpretation, including statistical methods proving positive outcomes.   

·         Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively convey complex assessment findings to diverse audiences 

·         Leadership skills to manage a team of assessment professionals and collaborate with stakeholders across the organization 

·         Knowledge of relevant assessment standards and regulationsto the organization  

·         Knowledge of the regulations for billing, collections required for a FQHC.  

·         7 years of Managed Care negotiations with commercial insurances. 

·         Certifications:  Preferred Certifications include:

·         Certified Professional Coder (CPC),

·         Certified Professional Auditor (CPMA) and

·         Certified Professional Compliance Officer (CPCO).
