The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity within the Child Support Services Division.
The position conducts searches across multiple federal, state, and private systems to locate individuals and assets, maintains key employer and credit‑related databases, and serves as the primary liaison with agencies such as CJIN, Unemployment Insurance, and the Workers' Compensation Court. The role oversees system access, provides training to internal and external partners, manages credit reporting functions, and is responsible for records management for the Child Support Services Division.

Qualifications for this Career Opportunity
- Knowledge of mathematical computations.
- Knowledge of investigative techniques.
- Ability to analyze information to determine next steps.
- Ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and experiences and provide effective and professional customer service.
- Ability to operate a personal computer and general office equipment as necessary to complete essential functions, including using spreadsheets, word processing, database, email, internet and other computer programs.
- Meet minimum qualifications:
o High school diploma or equivalency.
o One year of job-related work experience.
o Other combinations of education and experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
- Preferred Qualifications:
o Work experience in child support, law enforcement, debt collection, accounting, or in civil, criminal, or administrative law.

Additional Information
This position may be eligible for a statutory $1.00 an hour base pay increase effective July 1, 2026.
This position may be eligible for partial telework within the state of Montana. Specific conditions will be provided by the supervisor and must adhere to state policy.
