Job SummaryWe are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Childcare Assistant/Teacher to join our nurturing childcare environment. In this role, you will support the daily care, supervision, and education of children ranging from newborns to 13 years old in a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate setting.
Responsibilities will include assisting with hands-on learning activities, fostering social and emotional growth, ensuring a clean and secure environment, and modeling positive behavior and conflict resolution skills. You will play a vital role in promoting sensory development through play-based and exploratory learning, supporting children’s physical, emotional, and social needs.
The ideal candidate is patient, reliable, and passionate about working with children of varying ages, helping them learn through the hand, head, and heart approach. This position requires strong communication skills, teamwork, and a commitment to creating a joyful and enriching experience for every child.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a childcare assistant/teacher or childcare provider
- Strong understanding of child development
- Patient, kind, and nurturing
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills
- First aid/CPR certified
- Mandated Reporter Training
- California Drivers Licence
Compensation: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
