What you will do as the Childcare Center Cook

Menu Preparation in compliance with USDA Food Program and WAC Minimum licensing requirements
Food purchasing (procurement)
Kitchen and Food Prep areas maintained and kept clean
Ensure that meal carts are being properly utilized (i.e., temperatures taken and recorded, allergies noted)
Set up of meal carts with necessary documentation and tools
Lunch counts taken and recorded
Menu changes noted on Master Menu
Substitutions and awareness of allergy or special needs (to include inventory and supply on hand of special needs food)
Sanitization, cleanliness, and organization all to be in compliance with WAC Minimum licensing requirements, USDA Food Program, and the policies of CVLearns

Requirements

YOU ARE THE IDEAL CANDIDATE IF YOU HAVE:

Experience cooking for large groups of children
Knowledgeable and proficient with USDA requirements and the CACFP
Strong organizational and time management skills

YOU POSSESS THESE BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

Food Handlers Permit
Portable Background Check Washington State (or willingness to get one)
Proof of Negative TB test
Proof of Immunization for MMR and COVID (per state rules)
