Description

The Childcare Meal Assistant prepares nutritious snacks and lunches for preschool students.

Childcare Meal Assistant Essential Functions

Counting, sorting and portioning snacks and lunch items for preschool students (no cooking required)
Delivering food to preschool classrooms
General kitchen clean up and organization
Process and organize weekly food deliveries

Childcare Meal Assistant Schedule

This part time position is typically scheduled to work Monday through Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Childcare Meal Assistant Benefits

$16/hr
Daytime hours - no evenings or weekends
Discounted membership to The J (includes fitness center and pools, etc.)
On-the-job training provided

Requirements

Ability to follow directions
Able to count, sort and organize inventory
Willing to learn to use basic kitchen equipment
Willing to learn basic food preparation skills
Reliable transportation

Childcare Meal Assistant Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for at least duration of shift
Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds for short distances and up to 35 pounds on occasion
Dexterity to type, serve, cut, lift, write and use hands and legs to complete the tasks of the position
