Job Description
- Keep children’s spaces (Bright Spaces, Kidz Zone, Computer Lab, Art Room) clean, organized, and safe.
- Plan and lead fun, structured activities and arts & crafts.
- Supervise children during play and program times.
- Monitor the Computer Lab during scheduled hours.
- Administer the Ages & Stages Questionnaire for children ages 3–5.
- Support parents by modeling positive parenting techniques.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
- Assist with donations and keep storage areas organized.
- Help with special events and summer camp activities.
- Support Parenting Class evenings (2 evenings per week) by supervising children.
- Assist with shopping and event preparation.
- Drive a company vehicle when needed.
- At least 1 year of experience working with children (birth–15 years old).
- Knowledge of child development and appropriate parenting techniques.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced shelter environment.
- Basic computer skills (email, documentation, data entry).
- Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
