Job Description
University United Methodist Church is seeking a spiritually grounded and passionate individual to serve as our Christian Family Director.
The Christian Family Director will provide Christ-centered leadership that is both strategically family-focused and ministry-focused. This individual will nurture the faith development of children, youth, and families while building strong relationships within the congregation and community.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide spiritual leadership for family ministries.
- Develop and coordinate programs for children, youth, and families.
- Recruit, train, and support volunteers.
- Collaborate with church staff and ministry teams to strengthen intergenerational ministry.
- Encourage participation in worship, fellowship, and mission opportunities.
- Create a welcoming and inclusive environment where families can grow in their faith.
Qualifications:
- A strong and active Christian faith consistent with the mission of the United Methodist Church.
- Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Experience working with children, youth, and families preferred.
- Ability to inspire and equip others for ministry.
