Job Description

Our client is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer for a short-term project supporting their Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) product line. This role will focus on integrating a new connector into an existing circuit board layout-essentially fitting a new component into a defined, pre-existing space. The ideal candidate will be highly proficient in design work and capable of quickly adapting to current product constraints.

Job Responsibilities:

Design and integrate a new connector within the constraints of an existing circuit board layout
Modify and develop detailed engineering drawings to support the updated board design
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compatibility with current product line specifications
Deliver accurate, manufacturable designs within a fast-paced 30-60 day project timeline

Job Requirements:

5 years of related experience
Strong experience designing components within tight spatial constraints or existing assemblies
Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks
Ability to work independently and execute projects under tight deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience working with electronics packaging or circuit board integration
Background supporting energy systems, BESS, or similar technologies
