Job Description

Job Summary:

The Pastry Cook is responsible for preparing high-quality desserts, baked goods, and pastry items in a fast-paced, full-service kitchen environment. This role ensures all pastry items are executed to recipe specifications, presented consistently, and prepared safely while maintaining a clean and organized workstation.

Key Responsibilities:

· Prepare and bake pastries, desserts, and other sweet items according to recipes and presentation standards · Execute daily production for items such as breads, cakes, cookies, plated desserts, and specialty items · Set up and stock pastry stations with necessary ingredients and supplies · Maintain consistency in quality, portioning, and visual presentation · Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department guidelines · Operate kitchen and baking equipment safely and efficiently · Assist with decorating and plating desserts for service · Support menu development with creativity and attention to detail when needed · Assist with prep work, inventory rotation, labeling, and storage of ingredients · Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards · Support the team during peak service periods while maintaining a positive attitude

Qualifications & Skills:

· Previous pastry or baking experience preferred (professional kitchen experience a plus) · Knowledge of baking techniques, dessert preparation, and pastry fundamentals · Ability to follow recipes with precision and consistency · Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management · Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment · Creative mindset with a passion for pastry and presentation · Team-oriented with a strong work ethic

Open availability needed.
