Civil Construction Estimator needs 10 years experience doing estimation work. Civil Construction Estimator requires:o* HCSSo* AutoCADo* P6 (Primavera)o* Civil Construction Estimator, Estimator, Project Estimation, Heavy Highway construction, Highway, Constructiono* Estimating and Scheduling Softwareo* Good written, Verbal communication skillso* Ability to work in a collaborative teamo* Working knowledge of multiphases of civil constructiono* Good relationships with suppliers and subcontractors in the areao* Field experienceo* Strong contracts & plan reading skills.Civil Construction Estimator duties:o* Execute take-offs of construction documents.o* Reviews construction documents and understands scope of work to bid using state and federal specifications.o* Obtain quotes from subcontractors and vendors for materials and labor as needed. / Prepare estimates by recapitulating material, labor, equipment, subcontractor, and overhead costs incurred during the life cycle of a project.o* Develops and maintains company resource information on products, vendors, subcontractors, government requirements, etc.o* Attend departmental meetings as required.o* Help review bidding decisions for upcoming projects.o* Communicate plans and contract terms to relevant parties.o* Work with project management team to manage financial aspects of projects
