We are on the lookout for a dynamic, experienced and dedicated Permanent Civil Construction Superintendent to join our team. You will be responsible for overseeing all stages of civil construction projects from planning to completion, ensuring that work is completed on time, within budget, and adheres to safety standards.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee all aspects of civil construction projects from initial planning to completion.
2. Coordinate and supervise the work of subcontractors, ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest standard and in accordance with project plans and specifications.
3. Manage project budgets, keeping track of expenditures and identifying opportunities for cost savings.
4. Ensure all construction activities comply with safety regulations and quality standards.
5. Coordinate with project stakeholders including clients, architects, engineers, and local authorities.
6. Implement and maintain construction schedules, ensuring that projects are completed on time.
7. Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications and safety standards.
8. Manage construction materials, ensuring efficient use and minimal waste.
9. Resolve any issues or delays that may affect the timeline, budget, or quality of the project.
10. Prepare and present project updates and progress reports to stakeholders.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field is strongly preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role in the construction industry, specifically in civil construction.
3. Proven experience with earthworks, underground utilities, and both wet and dry construction techniques.
4. Strong knowledge of construction planning, safety management, materials management, budgeting, and subcontractor management.
5. Exceptional communication and time management skills.
6. Proficient in project management software and tools.
7. Ability to lead and manage a team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
8. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with a strong attention to detail.
9. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
10. A commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace.
