Civil Design Engineer

Impact Recruitment is working with a multi-disciplined civil engineering and land surveying firm based in Paso Robles, California. Our client has an immediate opening in their Paso Robles office for a Civil Design Engineer. The ideal candidate will be efficient in Civil 3D AutoCAD, have experience working on land development projects. Ability to work with little supervision. During the design process, candidate will ensure that designs meet all necessary design standards and specifications outlined by the jurisdiction of where project is located.Design Engineer Responsibilities:

• Understand engineering concepts used in land development.
• Create engineering drawings, pipe networks, and corridors.
• Grading experience on subdivision, commercial and retail sites.
• Create drainage studies for projects, perform hydrology and hydraulic calculations.
• Erosion control design and write stormwater management plan.
• Perform roadway design.
• Water and sanitary sewer layout.
• Create utility study
• Proficient in using water cad, storm cad, and UD Sewer.

Design Engineer Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, or relevant technical degree.
• Engineer in Training Certification Required. 
• 2-5 years preferred but not required.
• Civil 3D Required.

Skills:

• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work with others and communicate.
• Ability to talk to clients or government agencies.
• Ability to teach other staff.
• Ability to read Construction Plans.
