Civil Design Engineer SME – Nuclear
We’re looking for a highly experienced Civil Design Engineer Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support complex engineering activities within a nuclear environment.
This is a senior-level technical role designed for an engineer with 15+ years of civil engineering discipline experience who brings specialized subject matter expertise and can independently solve complex engineering problems with limited supervision.
Position Overview
The Civil Design Engineer SME will provide advanced engineering expertise on increasingly complex and varied assignments. This individual will apply established engineering concepts, principles, and procedures while using their depth of experience to evaluate challenges, develop solutions, and provide technical guidance.
The ideal candidate is an experienced civil engineering professional who has developed unique SME-level technical expertise and is comfortable operating with a high degree of independence.
Key Responsibilities
- Solve complex engineering problems within the civil engineering discipline.

- 15+ years of civil engineering discipline experience.
- Demonstrated Subject Matter Expert (SME) expertise within a specialized civil engineering area.
- Advanced understanding of civil engineering concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Proven ability to solve complex technical and engineering problems.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Strong technical judgment and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience handling progressively complex and varied engineering assignments.
