Role Description

We are seeking an experienced Civil Drafting Manager to help create and manage a drafting group to support a growing civil engineering team. This role combines technical expertise, leadership, and innovation to support high quality project delivery and continuous improvement across our civil engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the preparation and quality of civil engineering drawings and models using Civil 3D
Maintaining and evolving company-wide Civil 3D drafting standards
Create and manage custom tools, templates, and workflows to improve efficiency and consistency
Research and evaluate emerging software and technologies to enhance team capabilities
Serve as a technical expert and problem solver for complex drafting and design challenges
Train, mentor, and support civil engineers and drafting technicians in Civil 3D best practices and company standards
Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize workflows and ensure project requirements are met.

Qualifications:

+ 5 years of experience using Civil 3D software
Strong proficiency in Civil 3D and civil drafting workflows for general civil engineering projects (land surveys, site plans, grading plans, utility alignments and profiles, etc.)
Solid understanding of civil engineering principles and standard practices
Experience developing CAD standards, templates, and automation tools
Proven ability to lead, train, and support technical teams
Excellent problem solving and communication skills

Annual Salary: $90,000-105,000/year

Bonuses are awarded at discretion, not guaranteed.
