Civil Engineer InternOwn Your Future at PsomasJoin a 100% employee-owned firm built for long-term thinking, shared success, and meaningful impact.As our Civil Engineer Intern for our Civil Engineering team in Utah, you'll gain hands-on experience supporting municipal, transportation, and roadway projects while collaborating with engineers and other disciplines across an integrated design firm.Why PsomasShared Success: An ownership culture that rewards long-term thinking and doing what's right.Retirement Benefits: Company-funded ESOP + 401(k) with immediate match.Career Growth: Opportunities to learn from talented engineers and gain hands-on experience supporting real-world projects.People-First Culture: Collaborative, dog-friendly, and casual workspaces where students and professionals can learn and grow together.Meaningful Work: Contribute to municipal, transportation, roadway, and other interdisciplinary projects that make a positive impact on local communities.What You'll DoAs a Civil Engineer Intern, you'll support engineers with planning, design, drafting, and project documentation while gaining practical experience across a variety of civil engineering projects.Civil Engineering Design SupportAssist engineers with planning and design activities for mining, structural, municipal, and other civil engineering projects.CAD & Plan ProductionPrepare and update engineering drawings and plan sets using AutoCAD Civil 3D, following established project and design standards.Engineering Documents & EstimatesAssist with the preparation of planning documents, engineering reports, quantity takeoffs, and project cost estimates.Site Visits & InvestigationParticipate in site inspections, field visits, and investigations to gain hands-on experience and support project development.Team CollaborationWork alongside engineers and other disciplines within Psomas to support multiple projects and contribute to successful project delivery.Required QualificationsCurrent university student majoring in Civil EngineeringExperience with the latest versions of AutoCAD Civil 3DProficiency with Microsoft Word and ExcelStrong attention to detail and willingness to learn

Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment

Preferred QualificationsPrevious internship or academic project experience in civil engineering

Experience with transportation, roadway, mining, structural, municipal, or site development projects

Familiarity with engineering plans, quantity takeoffs, and cost estimates

Interest in gaining hands-on experience through site visits and field investigations
