The successful candidate will have a proven track record in civil litigation, with a focus on liability cases. This role offers an opportunity to work on challenging, high-stakes cases and contribute significantly to our firm's success. The attorney will be responsible for managing a substantial case load, presenting cases in court, and providing legal advice to clients. The role also requires excellent negotiation and communication skills as well as the ability to develop and implement innovative legal strategies.Responsibilities:
- Conducting legal research and drafting legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Representing clients in court, presenting evidence, and making persuasive arguments.
- Negotiating settlements on behalf of clients in liability cases.
- Providing legal advice and guidance to clients, explaining complex legal concepts in a clear and understandable way.
- Developing and implementing effective litigation strategies to achieve the best possible outcome for clients.
- Managing a substantial case load, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines.
- Maintaining the highest standards of professional conduct and ethics.
- Staying up-to-date with changes in law and legal practice, particularly in the area of civil litigation and liability.
- Collaborating with other members of the legal team, sharing knowledge and expertise.
- Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the state bar.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a civil litigation attorney, with a focus on liability cases.
- Proven track record of success in civil litigation, including trial experience.
- Excellent legal research and writing skills.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to resolve disputes favorably for clients.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage a substantial case load, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to think strategically.
- High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
- Commitment to continuing professional development and learning.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and to collaborate with other professionals.
