Job Description

Job Title: Litigation Paralegal

Location: Frankfort Kentucky

Job Type: Full-Time

About the Role: We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Litigation Paralegal. This position requires a detail-oriented professional who can support attorneys in all aspects of litigation, from pre-trial preparation to post-trial tasks. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, a strong understanding of legal processes, and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including drafting legal documents, motions, and pleadings.
  • Manage case files and maintain case documentation.
  • Conduct legal research and summarize findings for use in litigation matters.
  • Draft and prepare discovery requests, responses, and deposition summaries.
  • Coordinate the filing of legal documents with courts and other entities.
  • Schedule hearings, depositions, and meetings for attorneys and clients.
  • Organize and maintain client files, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and easily accessible.
  • Communicate with clients, witnesses, and experts as needed.
  • Provide general administrative support to attorneys and legal staff.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of litigation experience, preferably in civil or commercial law.
  • Proficiency with case management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong knowledge of Kentucky court rules and procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with e-filing systems and case management tools is a plus.
