Civil Litigation Public Entity Defense Attorney

Our client, a Civil Litigation Public Entity Defense Firm is seeking two associates to join a growing practice. Our client is looking for one attorney with sufficient experience to independently manage aggressively litigated, high-exposure matters, and a second attorney with one to three years of experience who is eager to learn, develop, and assume increasing responsibility. Experience with Employment Litigation is strongly preferred. Candidates must demonstrate a strong work ethic, advanced legal research and writing skills, and a positive, productive approach to their work.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned cases• Draft motions, oppositions, replies, and other pleadings• Analyze legal issues, exposures, and potential defenses• Prepare and respond to written discovery• Evaluate damages claims• Collaborate with attorneys at all levels• Provide guidance to junior attorneys

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school• Active bar admission in good standing• Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively• Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail• Ability to work independently and collaboratively• Commitment to ethical legal practice
