Description

Take the next step in your engineering career with a full-service civil engineering firm in Birmingham, AL where you’ll support meaningful site development projects and work alongside experienced leaders. In this Civil Project Engineer opportunity, you’ll help drive planning, design, and execution while building momentum toward greater responsibility.

Qualifications and responsibilities for this Civil Project Engineer position include:

Minimum 1-3 years of experience in civil engineering, preferably in site development or land development projects
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
Assist in the design, planning, and execution of site development projects including grading, drainage, utilities, and stormwater management
Prepare engineering calculations, reports, and construction drawings for approval
Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and clients to ensure project progress and resolve issues
Perform site visits to assess conditions and verify compliance with codes and regulations
Support senior engineers with permit and approval efforts and ensure design work complies with applicable codes, standards, and environmental regulations

Salary: $62,000 - $75,000 per year, depending on experience.

Benefits: PTO includes 2 weeks in the first year, plus holidays (10 paid holidays), health insurance with 90% individual and 50% family coverage, life insurance paid by the employer, a 401(k) with 3% matching, and an annual bonus based on company performance. Additional perks include a $100 phone stipend and mileage reimbursement.
