By developing a skilled engineering team, guiding complex design work, and collaborating with customers and internal partners, the Engineering Team Lead drives consistency, innovation, and practical problem-solving. What you Will Do:

  • Team Leadership & Development

Lead, coach, and grow a high-performing team of engineers and designers while fostering technical excellence and continuous improvement.

  • Workload Planning & Execution

Prioritize, assign, and manage incoming work to meet customer deadlines with accuracy and efficiency.

  • Technical Oversight & Quality Assurance

Review and guide complex truss designs, ensuring solutions are safe, code-compliant, and practical.

  • Customer & Field Engagement

Provide technical support, consult on design challenges, and conduct site visits to resolve structural issues and strengthen customer relationships.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner with sales, technical teams, and software development to improve tools, workflows, and customer outcomes.

  • Standards, Training & Continuous Improvement

Champion engineering standards, deliver training, and drive process improvements to enhance consistency and performance.

What You Will Bring:

  • B.S. in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field emphasizing statics and material mechanics.

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant engineering experience; Professional Engineer (P.E.) certification required.

  • Preferred but not required: experience with truss engineering, component design, or drafting for building components.

  • Working knowledge of TPI, NDS, ASCE‑7, and other applicable codes and design standards a plus.

  • Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.

  • Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with design software tools.

  • Ability to travel up to 10%.

Compensation Information:

$90,000 - $135,000

This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this role. Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, market level, other job-related factors, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law.
