How you will create an impact

We are building a high performing claims team and are seeking a seasoned Claims Specialist I with a minimum of four years of experience to join our team. This role is designed for a professional who is equally comfortable navigating the intricacies of automotive damage and the complexities of General Liability (GL) claims. You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of claims, from initial investigation and coverage determination to final settlement and litigation management. The role of an AIG Casualty Adjuster is to investigate, evaluate and resolve Commercial General Liability and Auto Liability claims. Provides exceptional customer service and commitment to bring assigned cases to a timely, proper resolution. This requires accurate and thorough documentation, as well as, resolution action plans based upon the applicable law, coverage and supporting evidence. Assigned claims typically consists of medium to moderate complex litigated and non-litigated losses.

  • Conduct thorough investigations into claim facts, including interviewing involved parties, reviewing police reports, and analyzing medical records or repair estimates.

  • Determine liability for both Auto (including bodily injury and property damage) and General Liability (slip and fall, premises liability, etc.) scenarios.

  • Establish and maintain accurate claim reserves. Negotiate fair settlements within designated authority levels.

  • Ensure all claims are handled in strict accordance with state regulations and company best practices.

What you will need to succeed

  • A minimum of 4 years of active claims handling experience.

  • Proven track record in managing both Auto and General Liability claims.

  • Must hold a valid Adjuster's License in all jurisdictions or ability to obtain within 6 months

  • Strong organizational skills and detail oriented

  • Exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to convey complex information to claimants and stakeholders with empathy and clarity.
