CDL A Flatbed Driver - Baton Rouge, LA (70802)

Flatbed work rewards drivers who know what they're doing - and CK Transportation pays accordingly. If you have 12 months of flatbed experience and take cargo securement seriously, this regional position offers $1,250–$1,450 weekly, weekend home time, and nearly-new Peterbilt 579s with no inside cab cameras.

The Freight

Lumber, coils, machinery, rebar, pipe, and oversized loads across structured regional routes. Your expertise with tarps, chains, straps, and binders is compensated directly - tarp pay, detention pay, and breakdown pay stack on top of your base per-mile rate.

The Money

$1,250–$1,450 weekly depending on miles, load type, and performance. Minimum weekly pay guarantee kicks in after your first month. Orientation pay available upon program completion. Annual pay increases reward tenure and reliability.

Your Weekend

Routes are built around predictable weekend resets with a minimum 34-hour break - most drivers see 46–53 hours at home. Consistent scheduling means you can actually plan around your personal life.

Your Peterbilt 579

Only 1.5 years old on average with high-roof sleepers, inverters, SiriusXM, TV mounts, dual drive tires, and Espar bunk heaters. Front-facing road cameras only - no inside cab monitoring, ever.

What You Need
