This position focuses on welding and fabricating large industrial vessels, pressure tanks, and shell assemblies while meeting strict ASME and code welding standards.The ideal candidate has extensive experience with multiple welding processes, can interpret complex blueprints, and consistently produces high-quality welds in a heavy industrial fabrication environment.Required Experience & Skills Extensive experience with Flux Core (FCAW), Stick (SMAW), and TIG (GTAW) welding Ability to successfully pass a 6"6G Schedule 80 (7018/TIG) weld test Experience fabricating large-diameter vessels, tanks, or pressure equipment preferred Strong blueprint reading, layout, and fabrication skills Thorough understanding of ASME welding standards and fabrication procedures Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Reliable attendance and strong commitment to workplace safetyEssential Duties & Responsibilities Perform Flux Core (FCAW), Stick (SMAW), and TIG (GTAW) welding on industrial vessels, tanks, and shell assemblies Fabricate, repair, and modify pressure vessels and related industrial equipment Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, weld symbols, and ASME specifications Fit, tack, and weld components in multiple welding positions Inspect completed welds to ensure compliance with quality and code requirements Operate welding equipment safely while maintaining productivity and workmanship standards Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas throughout the shift Report quality concerns, material issues, or equipment problems promptly Follow all company safety procedures, welding standards, and fabrication requirementsWeld Test RequirementsCandidates must successfully complete:6"6G Schedule 80 Weld Test7018 Stick Root / TIG Welding EvaluationPreferred Qualifications Previous experience fabricating pressure vessels or ASME-coded equipment Knowledge of heavy industrial fabrication practices Experience with fit-up, layout, and vessel assembly Welding certifications are a plus but not required if testing is successfully completedPhysical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, climbing, and repetitive physical activity throughout the shift Ability to safely work around heavy steel, welding equipment, heat, sparks, and industrial machinery while wearing required PPE Comfortable working in a physically demanding fabrication environmentWork Environment Heavy industrial fabrication facility specializing in pressure vessels and large structural assemblies Exposure to welding equipment, heavy steel materials, overhead lifting equipment, heat, sparks, and industrial noise Fast-paced production environment focused on safety, precision, and quality craftsmanship Overtime opportunities available on Fridays based on production demandsWhy You'll Want This Opportunity Competitive starting pay of $32.45/hour Stable Monday Thursday schedule with overtime opportunities on Fridays Long-term temp-to-hire opportunity Weekly pay Opportunity to work on large industrial vessel and tank fabrication projects Excellent career opportunity for experienced welders seeking challenging, high-level fabrication workReady to Apply?Apply today for immediate consideration or call/text 918-582-0522 for more information.You can also apply in person at:Stand-By Personnel1531 E. 2nd St.Tulsa, OK 74120Monday Friday | 8 AM 4 PM
