About the role:

Responsible for creating a positive, engaging, and inclusive science learning environment that promotes academic growth, scientific inquiry, and social development in alignment with Tennessee Academic Standards for Science. This role involves designing and delivering differentiated, standards-based instruction that emphasizes the three dimensions of science learning: disciplinary core ideas (DCIs), science and engineering practices (SEPs), and crosscutting concepts (CCCs). The teacher assesses student understanding through formative and summative measures, uses data to guide instruction, and implements effective classroom management strategies. Collaboration with colleagues, administrators, and families is essential to support student achievement and ensure a comprehensive, inquiry-driven educational experience. Additionally, the teacher integrates technology, facilitates hands-on investigations and lab experiences, and maintains compliance with district and state policies while fostering curiosity and a lifelong love of science in all students.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree with a valid Tennessee teaching license.
• Endorsement in the grade/subject taught
• Governed by the Rules and Regulations of the Tennessee Code Annotated and the collective bargaining agreement.
• Must be physically and mentally able to perform the responsibilities and duties of the position.

We value honesty and transparency in our hiring process. Our salary range for teaching positions is $50,055.20 to $75,398.68, determined by verified years of experience and recognition of a Master's degree.
