Job Description
Lead the Team. Master the Clean.
Are you an expert in the cleaning industry who is ready to lead? We are looking for a Working Supervisor - a "player-coach" who can manage a team while staying active on the floor. At Jack's, we don't just manage from a desk; we lead by example to ensure our customers receive the best service in the industry.
Why Jack's Maintenance?
- Stability: Our corporate team averages 13 years of tenure.
- Low Turnover: Our management turnover is less than 5%-people stay here because they are supported.
- Growth: We value your ideas and offer clear paths for advancement.
The Role: A Balance of Action and Leadership
In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of your assigned buildings. You will spend your time both overseeing staff and performing custodial duties to ensure contract requirements are met.
Operations & Cleaning (50-60%):
- Perform core cleaning tasks (vacuuming, mopping, trash removal, etc.) alongside your team.
- Manage supply inventory and equipment maintenance for your sites.
- Ensure all safety protocols and chemical handling procedures are followed.
Leadership & Management (40-50%):
- Supervise & Train: Lead and evaluate a dedicated team, fostering a positive work environment.
- Quality Control: Conduct inspections to identify and fix cleaning issues before the customer sees them.
- Customer Relations: Act as the face of Jack's for building contacts, handling inquiries with urgency.
- Administration: Manage shift coverage, staff assignments, and digital timekeeping.
Your Background & Skills
- Experience: At least 1 year of supervisory/leadership experience. Prior experience in custodial, facilities, or janitorial roles is highly preferred.
- Mindset: You are "thick-skinned, but not thick-headed"-highly organized, able to multitask, and ready to solve problems proactively.
- Integrity: You do the right thing even when no one is looking and believe in "trusting but verifying" work quality.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid Driver's License with an acceptable record.
- Ability to pass a background screening.
- Basic computer skills (email and web-based reporting).
Benefits & Perks:
- DailyPay® Option: Get instant access to your earned wages whenever you need them-no more waiting for payday.
- Comprehensive Health Coverage: We offer medical, dental, and vision insurance with a company contribution to help keep you and your family healthy.
- Paid Time Off (PTO): Start accruing PTO on your very first day! We believe in the importance of resting and recharging.
- Retirement Planning: Secure your future with our 401(k) retirement plan.
- Additional Protection: We provide short-term disability (STD), accident insurance, and life insurance for added peace of mind.
- Employee Assistance Program (EAP): Confidential support for life's challenges, from financial stress to mental well-being.
