Cleaning - Working Supervisor (2Nd Shift)

The Role: A Balance of Action and Leadership

In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of your assigned buildings. You will spend your time both overseeing staff and performing custodial duties to ensure contract requirements are met.

Operations & Cleaning (50-60%):

• Perform core cleaning tasks (vacuuming, mopping, trash removal, etc.) alongside your team.
• Manage supply inventory and equipment maintenance for your sites.
• Ensure all safety protocols and chemical handling procedures are followed.

Leadership & Management (40-50%):

• Supervise & Train: Lead and evaluate a dedicated team, fostering a positive work environment.
• Quality Control: Conduct inspections to identify and fix cleaning issues before the customer sees them.
• Customer Relations: Act as the face of Jack's for building contacts, handling inquiries with urgency.
• Administration: Manage shift coverage, staff assignments, and digital timekeeping.

Your Background & Skills

• Experience: At least 1 year of supervisory/leadership experience. Prior experience in custodial, facilities, or janitorial roles is highly preferred.
• Mindset: You are "thick-skinned, but not thick-headed"-highly organized, able to multitask, and ready to solve problems proactively.
• Integrity: You do the right thing even when no one is looking and believe in "trusting but verifying" work quality.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Driver's License with an acceptable record.
• Ability to pass a background screening.
• Basic computer skills (email and web-based reporting).
