Cleaning Technician

Job Summary:

The Cleaning Technician is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in assigned areas such as offices, buildings, commercial spaces, or residential properties. This includes routine cleaning tasks, sanitization, and reporting maintenance issues to ensure a safe and healthy environment for all occupants. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and trash removal.

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, kitchens, and common areas.

• Restock supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, and soap.

• Use cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, carpet cleaners, and pressure washers as required.

• Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Handle and store cleaning chemicals safely and according to regulations.

• Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards to supervisors.

• Adhere to company policies and client-specific cleaning standards.

• Ensure cleaning is completed efficiently and thoroughly within allotted timeframes.

• Maintain a professional appearance and interact courteously with clients and coworkers.

Requirements:

• Previous cleaning or janitorial experience required

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality

• Physical stamina to stand, bend, and lift up to 30 lbs

• Must have clean driving record

• Availability to work flexible shifts, including evenings or weekends if required

Work Environment:

• Exposure to cleaning chemicals and equipment

• May involve working in various environments including offices, buildings, commercial spaces, or residential properties

• Standing or walking for extended periods

Compensation:

• Hourly wage: $18-$21 per hour
