Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Cleanroom MEP Construction Coordinator/Superintendent to serve as the Owner's Representative for semiconductor fabrication facility construction projects in Boise, Idaho. This role requires deep technical expertise in cleanroom environments and MEP systems critical to semiconductor manufacturing operations.
Primary Responsibilities
The Construction Coordinator/Superintendent will oversee all MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) construction activities for cleanroom facilities, ensuring adherence to our company's stringent specifications, industry standards (ISO 14644, SEMI), and semiconductor manufacturing requirements.
You will serve as our technical liaison between design teams, contractors, and internal stakeholders throughout the construction lifecycle.
Key Duties
Reviewing and approving MEP shop drawings and submittals with focus on cleanroom-specific systems including HVAC with HEPA/ULPA filtration, process cooling water, ultrapure water (UPW) systems, chemical distribution, specialty gas systems, and process exhaust systems.
You will conduct regular site inspections to verify installation quality, coordinate startup and commissioning activities, and ensure all systems meet cleanroom classification requirements and operational parameters.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Construction Engineering/Management, or equivalent experience
Minimum 7-10 years construction management experience with at least 5 years specifically in cleanroom or semiconductor facility construction
Comprehensive understanding of cleanroom MEP systems, contamination control principles, and semiconductor manufacturing requirements
Experience with high-purity process systems (UPW, bulk chemical distribution, specialty gases)
Strong knowledge of cleanroom HVAC design including air handling systems, pressure cascades, and particulate control
Proficiency in construction management software and ability to read complex MEP drawings
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience as owner's representative on semiconductor fabrication projects
Professional Engineering license or LEED AP certification
Experience with advanced technology node fabrication construction (sub-10nm processes)
Knowledge of electrical distribution for semiconductor equipment (480V, MV systems, backup power)
Working Conditions:
This position requires extensive time in active construction environments including cleanroom areas with gowning requirements.
Expect to work in both office and field settings with flexibility for project demands including occasional evening/weekend work during critical installation or commissioning phases.
