Cleared DevOps Engineer

Bestgate Engineering is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to support the development and sustainment of a reliable, highly available platform that orchestrates microservices within a modernized operational system using cutting edge technologies. This role is ideal for a cleared DevOps professional with strong automation, cloud, and container orchestration experience supporting mission critical environments.

Required Skills:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
9+ years of professional experience; or 7 + years with a related Master’s degree.
Experience developing Infrastructure as Code and automation scripting using python.
Experience patching, hardening, and maintaining compliance of RHEL systems.
Experience with Kubernetes, Docker Compose, Nifi, and cloud native logging and metrics tools.
Experience managing CI/CD pipelines using GitLab runners and Argo CD.
Experience supporting AWS cloud environments.
Strong communication and collaboration skills within a team-oriented environment.
Current Security+CE certification.
Security Clearance: Active Top Secret clearance with Polygraph required.

Desired Skills:

Design, build, and maintain AWS infrastructure including EC2, Lambda, S3, SNS, SQS, Event Router, Athena, and Step Functions using Terraform and auto scaling.
Understanding of AWS networking principles including VPCs, NATs, and IP Gateway.
Develop and manage GitLab CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment processes.
Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance and reliability.
Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and ensure system uptime.
Kubernetes experience with a focus on EKS, ECS, and/or Fargate.

Salary Range:$150,000 - $220,000
