What will you be doing?
Step into a pivotal role partnering directly with Costco's merchandising teams in Issaquah, WA to deliver strategic, insight‑driven guidance across their business. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with both retailer stakeholders and cross-functional Circana teams to transform complex, high‑volume data into clear, actionable recommendations. You'll dive deep into retailer‑level performance, household purchasing behaviors, business reviews, and custom projects-advocating for the client's needs while identifying new opportunities to grow our partnership.
We are looking for candidates with experience in Merchandising, Account or Category Management, or Analytics roles that involve POS‑based reporting and client‑facing insights delivery. If you are passionate about working with large datasets, crafting compelling stories with data, and building strong, trust‑based client relationships, we want to hear from you.
Job Responsibilities
- Build trusted, collaborative relationships with retailer partners, engaging in a consultative manner to help them derive strategic insights from the full range of Circana data sources. Become deeply familiar with retailer priorities across merchandising, marketing, assortment, supply chain, and the competitive landscape.
- Navigate complex, high‑volume datasets and shifting business priorities to generate clear, actionable insights. Uncover root causes, evaluate business implications, and deliver well‑informed strategic recommendations using compelling narratives-both verbal and written-supported by strong data visualization and commentary.
- Serve as a project manager, extracting clear briefs from clients at varying levels of seniority, managing scope and timelines, and incorporating client feedback to enhance service delivery and support the development of new ideas.
- Create, automate, and maintain custom and recurring data reports using proprietary tools such as Unify, along with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Identify opportunities for process improvement and share best practices to drive efficiency and consistency.
- Communicate essential Circana service details and operational processes clearly and effectively, ensuring retailer stakeholders understand key capabilities, deliverables, and the value Circana provides.
- Build productive, transparent partnerships across Circana teams and retailer counterparts, promoting consistent information sharing, inclusive problem‑solving, and alignment toward shared business objectives.
- Provide client training and support on Circana platforms, tools, and analytical approaches to help retailer teams fully leverage available data and insights.
Requirements
Must Haves:
- Experience working with syndicated data, analytics, category management, or related quantitative fields.
- Proven ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with Java preferred; familiarity with additional analytical or data visualization tools is a plus.
- Demonstrated strength in deriving meaningful business implications from data and communicating them effectively.
- Strong project management capabilities, including the ability to manage processes, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Consultative approach when collaborating with clients, particularly in managing and delivering analytic content.
- Excellent presentation and storytelling skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to various audiences.
- Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and commitment to high‑quality execution.
- Creative problem solver with a passion for learning new technologies, driving change, and understanding the "why" behind challenges and solutions.
- Ability to work both collaboratively and independently, demonstrate initiative, and drive results.
- Ability to travel as needed.

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. The salary range for this role is $70k to $80k.
