Job Description

ROLE: Client Insights Manager 

REPORTING TO: Chief Economist   

LOCATION: Atlanta office – hybrid working model, attendance in the office is expected at least 3 days a week 

SUMMARY: 

We are looking for an experienced payments professional to join our Insights team as our Client Insights Manager, acting as the conduit between Insights and other teams within CMSPI.

Job Role

As our Client Insights Manager, you will have an active role and responsibility alongside the Chief Economist for shaping the strategy and direction of our Market Insights team. Day-to-day, you will be using your knowledge and experience to enhance our client and sales prospect relationships, develop and mentor team members, and collaborate with key teams within the business. Your role will give you wide exposure across CMSPI, world leading retailers, industry partners and trade organizations and you will play a central role ensuring all these key stakeholders are aligned. 

As Client Insights Manager your responsibilities cover, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Day-to-day mentoring of Insights team members and coverage for our Chief Economist in dealing with personnel issues
  • Act as the lead “conduit” between the Insights team and our Solutions, Data, Partnerships, Sales and Delivery teams
  • Understanding and interpreting our bespoke data, and responsible for ensuring our identified commercial opportunities are being fully exploited and optimized across our client base
  • Researching, drafting, and presenting bespoke economic, regulatory, and market impact analysis reports to our largest clients and sales prospects, to support their payments strategies and address specific requests.
  • Accountable for the development of CMSPI’s Merchant Payments Index tool which utilizes our aggregated client data to analyze payments trends
  • Creating thought-leadership materials including white papers, blogs and insights reports to drive sales and engagement processes
  • Become part of an Account team and actively participate in sales processes by providing subject matter expertise
  • The opportunity to present at high-profile industry events such as conferences and our monthly townhall on the latest developments in payments

Requirements

  • Educated to undergraduate degree level in an Economics-related discipline.
  • At least 5 years professional experience, including two years of experience within the payments industry 
  • Experience in using PowerBI, RStudio, Python, SQL or other data visualization tools and familiarity with data platforms 
  • Strong analytical and financial modelling capabilities with the ability to apply logic, creativity, and problem-solving techniques to complex data
  • Excellent written skills – ability to write in an insightful, accurate and persuasive manner
  • An appetite to learn, and the ability to present market research insights in an engaging way to influence business decisions
  • Strong organizational skills, the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks at any one time
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively in both formal and informal settings.
