- Prepare and set up treatment rooms, ensuring cleanliness and proper sterilization.
- Assist Dental Hygienists during patient treatment progress.
- Update patient health history and chart treatment progress.
- Expose and develop radiographs (if certified).
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and preventive care.
- Coordinate with clinical staff to manage inventory and sterilization of dental instruments.
- Support the hygienist with patient scheduling and treatment recommendations and office recall systems.
- Perform routine tasks while ensuring compliance with the industry regulations including HIPAA & OSHA.
- Current, valid, and unrestricted GA license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.
- Candidates must have at least Six Months of hands-on experience as a Dental Assistant Or Dental Hygiene Assistant Or in a Dental Assistant Internship to be considered.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to patient care and comfort.
- Candidates must have prior dental assisting experience to be considered.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Associates Degree or certification in Dental Assisting (preferred but not required).
- BLS certification.
- X-ray training or certification.
- Certified Dental Assistant.
- Six (6) hour X-ray training certification.
- Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
- Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents.
