General Description/Primary Purpose:

The School of Nursing is seeking a 12-month, non-tenure earning, Clinical Assistant Professor of Nursing. This position will report to the Interim/Director, School of Nursing. Position responsibilities will include a 4/4 teaching load.

The successful candidate will:

  • Teach in areas of expertise (e.g., Psych Mental Health, Adult Health, Pediatrics, Community Health, Women’s Health and Obstetrics, Research, Leadership)

  • Participate in School committees

  • Have experience in an active clinical practice as an RN/APRN

  • Perform nursing and community service in areas of expertise

Supervisor: This position will report to the Interim Director, Dr. Debra Harrison.

Working Hours: Varies

Supervision Exercised: This is not a supervisory role.

Required Licensure:

Licensure as a registered nurse or advanced practice nurse in the state of Florida.

Anticipated Start Date: The position is expected to begin on August 3, 2026.

Preferred Qualifications / Skills:

  • Five years of clinical experience

  • Evidence of meaningful scholarship and contributions in service
