• Proven supervisory experience in a clinical laboratory setting, particularly in microbiology and blood bank specialties
• Extensive knowledge of CLIA regulatory requirements and compliance standards
• Certification as a Medical Technologist or Diplomate of Laboratory Management (ASCP, AMT, NCA, or equivalent)
• Strong leadership and team management abilities
• Proficiency with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS), including Epic Beaker and Epic Rover
• Experience operating and supporting systems such as Roche cobas chemistry, Sysmex hematology analyzers, Siemens coagulation systems, Cepheid GeneXpert, and Clinitek urinalysis systems
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience interfacing with reference labs such as SBMF and LabCorp
• Additional certifications or training in molecular diagnostics or other high-complexity testing areas
• Familiarity with laboratory instrumentation and automation technologies

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 4 years of laboratory testing experience in high-complexity specialties, or
• Master’s degree with 2 years of relevant experience, or
• Licensed MD/DO, DPM, or PhD with certification in clinical pathology
• Minimum of 5 years’ clinical laboratory experience, including at least 3 years in microbiology and blood bank disciplines

Other Requirements:

• Must meet CLIA 88 supervisor requirements
• Ability to manage a team of approximately 20-25 full-time employees across all shifts
• Commitment to continuous improvement and quality assurance
• Willingness to support ongoing staff training and development
