Clinical Manager, Pharmacy Operations

FTE: 1.0

Location: La Crosse, WI

Shift: Monday-Friday, regular business hours

Pay: $154,100/year + more based on years of experience

About the Role

Emplify Health by Gundersen is seeking a Clinical Manager of Pharmacy Operations to lead integrated pharmacy services across the enterprise. As we undergo rapid growth and expansion in our pharmacy services, this role ensures alignment between clinical, operational, and support functions to deliver safe, efficient, and high‑quality pharmaceutical care. The manager leads teams, drives process improvements, supports thriving workplace culture, and collaborates with Pharmacy Leadership and key stakeholders to advance strategic goals. This leadership role is targeted at creating greater synergy across all of our pharmacy services and initially supporting acceleration of our optimization in operations and integration of the pharmacy enterprise across our four state region. Strategic areas of focus for this role immediately include but are not limited to specialty operations, infusion services, central fill and other support services.

What You Will Do

  • Oversee daily pharmacy operations and ensure alignment across clinical, operational, and support functions

  • Lead and develop staff, manage performance, and promote a positive, high‑engagement culture

  • Drive process improvements that enhance efficiency, patient care, and regulatory compliance

  • Manage vendor, payer, and stakeholder relationships as applicable

  • Support the development and execution of pharmacy strategies and resource planning

  • Represent the organization internally and externally, advancing departmental and system goals

  • Resolve operational, clinical, and staff issues within organizational and regulatory guidelines

  • Ensure consistent enforcement of policies and recommend improvements to support excellence

What You Will Need

  • Bachelor's in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)

  • Licensed Registered Pharmacist in primary state of employment; additional state licensure may be required

  • 3 years of pharmacy operations, clinical or equivalent healthcare experience demonstrating leadership skills.

  • Financial management experience

  • PGY2 Health‑System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership Residency (preferred)

  • 2 years experience in areas including acute care, retail, specialty, infusion, and/or home infusion.
