Job Description

At Keros, our mission is to deliver significant clinical benefit to a wide range of patients with disorders that are linked to dysfunctional signaling of the transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-ß) family of proteins. With a focus on developing differentiated product candidates that are designed to alter TGF-β signaling, we aim to target the pathways critical for the growth, repair and maintenance of blood cells and a number of tissues, including bone, skeletal muscle, adipose and heart tissue. We believe our product candidates have the potential to unlock the full therapeutic benefits of modulating the TGF-β superfamily and provide disease-modifying benefit to patients.

Job Summary

This role will assist with clinical trial scientific documentation, literature reviews, data analysis, and study startup activities within the Clinical Science function. This role is ideal for a student looking to gain experience in translating TGF-science into clinical therapies by analyzing emerging scientific data within a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Primary Responsibilities

  •  Assist with the review of study start-up processes, including objective vendor evaluation and selection, operationalizing biomarker and exploratory endpoint strategies, and developing study-specific scientific plans or manuals.

  • Support the ongoing scientific review, trend analysis, and interpretation of clinical, safety, and biomarker data from active or closing studies. Actively assist in developing and maintaining clinical data review tools and data visualization dashboards.
  • Work with data management, biostatistics, clinical operations, and research teams to support clinical protocol design, ensure data consistency, and minimize data variability. Participate directly in scientific project teams and vendor meetings.
  • Prepare selected clinical science deliverables, including scientific presentations, draft abstracts, posters, and clinical study report components.

Core Competencies (Required Skills)

  • Strong interest in TGF-signaling pathway science.
  • Ability to conduct comprehensive scientific literature reviews, analyze complex clinical datasets, and interpret biomarker findings.
  • Strong accountability and a sense of ownership over defined scientific project deliverables.

  • Excellent organizational, scientific communication, and data analysis skills.
  • Ability to work independently and translate complex academic theories into industry clinical trial applications.

Education Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in biology, pharmacology, clinical science or a related advanced life sciences field.
