JOB SUMMARY
The Regional Therapy Manager is responsible for ensuring patient rehabilitative care is coordinated and managed appropriately. This position is responsible for ensuring therapy services are delivered appropriately, documentation of therapy services meets all requirements as well as the supervision of therapy professionals.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Reviews and evaluates each case by reviewing the services provided by the therapists, including case conferences and documentation review, discusses and verifies impressions, and instructs and guides therapists to promote more effective performance and delivery of quality home care services.
Is available during operating hours to assist therapists as appropriate.
Assists therapists in establishing immediate and long-term rehabilitation goals, in setting priorities, and in developing plan of care.
Assists therapists in overseeing assignment and supervision of therapy assistants.
Attends case conference meetings with organization personnel to facilitate coordination of care.
Conducts record reviews and communicates findings and recommendations to Director of Rehabilitation and appropriate organization personnel.
Completes onsite supervisory visits as necessary.
Maintains accountability for therapy staff productivity, utilization, and documentation standards.
Assists in the screening and interviewing process of new organization personnel and makes recommendations for employment of individuals.
Assists in the orientation of new therapy personnel.
Assists Director of Rehabilitation in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of in-service and continuing education programs.
Assists in the formulation, revision, implementation, and evaluation of policies and procedures, as well as strategic goals and objectives.
Complies with accepted professional standards and principles.
Participates in administration on call rotation

JOB REQUIREMENTS (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
Licensed to practice as physical therapy, occupational therapy, or speech therapy within the State.
Two years management or supervisory experience in a rehabilitation therapy department or program, preferably home care, preferred.
Complies with accepted professional standards and practice.
Licensed driver with automobile that is in good working order and insured in accordance with organization requirements.
Demonstrates excellent observation, verbal, and written communication skills.
Current state license as a Physical or Occupational therapist or Speech/Language Pathologist.
