Job Description

Gritman Clinics Leadership Team:

  • Attends meetings with other leads, clinical coordinators, and nursing director.

Clinic Meetings:

  • Creating agenda for department meetings.
  • Following meeting, ensuring clinic specific issues are resolved in a prompt manner, and resolution is communicated to staff with the help of the clinical coordinator.
  • Ensure morning meetings/huddles are facilitated with staff.

Miscellaneous:

  • In addition to job duties listed above the Lead will be able to function and cover for clinical staff as needed. This will include patient intake and documentation of clinical care, assisting healthcare provider during exams and procedures, completing medication authorizations, perform CLIA waived lab testing and blood draws when needed, administering in office diagnostic test, and all other clinical staff duties.
  • Will be able to assist overall function of office by monitoring front office area and waiting room for safety, security, privacy, and/or patient concerns. Promptly contacts 9-1-1 for emergency situations. Promptly notifies appropriate staff and leadership in the event of an incident or complaint AND utilizes the online reporting system and/or EHR to document as per protocol. Relays necessary non-urgent information to team leads and/or director (i.e. office supplies needed, malfunction of equipment, etc.)

Job Requirements

Preferred Education

  • BSN/MSN in Nursing

Required Licenses and/or Certifications

  • [Idaho] LPN/RN or compact state
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • Valid driver's license and auto insurance

Required Work experience

  • Must have experience working with computers and can document and communicate via office systems.

Required knowledge, skills, and abilities

  • Must have the ability to effectively communicate with staff, demonstrate The Gritman Way and promote a positive working environment. Must have the ability to work closely with others, always have a pleasant attitude and be willing to exceed the expectations of patients, visitors, other providers, and coworkers. Must have the ability to objectively evaluate a situation, evaluate root cause and implement process improvement if needed under the direction of the Clinical Coordinator. Must have exceptional customer service skills, and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must. Commitment to compliance is a must.

Preferred qualifications

  • Education and/or experience in a Medical Office setting is preferred.
