Job Description

Symmetrio is actively recruiting for a Clinical Application Specialist for its customer, a global start-up medical device company. We are seeking someone with a strong background in surgical navigation or neurosurgical technologies. This role is ideal for someone passionate about cutting-edge medical technologies and patient-focused care, who thrives in both the operating room and technical training environments. Responsibilities include training hospital staff, supporting live procedures, troubleshooting equipment, and helping to maintain high standards of clinical excellence and customer satisfaction across accounts.

Please note that due to our client's needs, only candidates in Atlanta, GA will be considered.

Responsibilities 

  • Provide in-depth clinical support and technical expertise to medical teams utilizing advanced surgical technology in operating room environments, with a focus on neurology-related procedures.
  • Deliver effective, hands-on training for neurosurgeons, OR nurses and supporting staff comfortable using imaging software and procedural best practices. 
  • Support site readiness activities, including system installation and qualification, in collaboration with technical and engineering teams. 
  • Attend and support live cases, ensuring optimal workflow and clinical outcomes; assist with troubleshooting and documentation of case metrics. 
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with clinical stakeholders, ensuring their confidence in system capabilities and long-term satisfaction. 
  • Document all post-case findings, clinical outcomes, product feedback, and procedural insights through structured reporting tools. 
  • Act as a liaison between clinical users and technical support teams, ensuring continuous improvement based on real-world feedback. 
  • Stay up-to-date on advancements in neurosurgery, neuro-navigation, and image-guided surgical technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Biomedical Engineering, Biology, Medical Imaging, or Medical Technology. 
  • Prior experience in the Operating Room and neurosurgery environments, especially supporting surgical teams. 
  • Background in training, clinical applications, or support of medical devices. 
  • Experience with stereotactic neurosurgery or image-guided surgical platforms is strongly preferred. 
  • Strong understanding of planning/navigation software and OR workflows.
  • Travel is expected to be 50% or greater, depending on location.

The expected salary is $120,000.00-$125,000.00 annually, plus bonus.
