Job Description
We are looking for a Clinical Trial Vendor Specialist to join our team and support vendor management activities for clinical trials.
Are you well organized and adaptable to unexpected changes? Do you have experience in pharmaceutical clinical trials and especially with managing vendors? Are you someone who is able to see the bigger picture with a customer-focused mindset? If the answer is yes, keep reading!
In this position you will:
Manage the selection, qualification, contracting, budgeting, and performance management of third-party service providers (e.g. vendors and subcontractors) in the pharmaceutical clinical trial space
Work with CPC's legal department to get vendors contracted
Manage the process of qualifying and onboarding new vendors
Manage the preparation and maintenance of clinical trial supplier management plans
Manage clinical trial service provider deliverable timelines and identify/escalate when workstream or deliverables are at risk of falling behind schedule
Maintain the Approved Vendor List
Communicate CPC's needs and address internal team members' issues with suppliers
Help manage the electronic contract management system as related to vendors
Manage the change order process for all vendor/supplier contracts
Assist with creation, maintenance, and reporting of departmental performance metrics
Assist with project specific communication to CPC clients and partners
Perform other duties as assigned
Here's what you will need to bring to the table:
Minimum 3 years of experience in pharmaceutical clinical trial settings including at least some familiarity with the contracting process with suppliers/vendors, preferably with hands-on experience with contracts and budgets
Ability to work independently and within the team environment, and at times under tight deadlines with a diverse workload
Ability to interact effectively with all levels of management and staff, as well as outside suppliers and clients
Ability to prioritize tasks with close attention to detail
A customer-oriented attitude
Excellent computer skills
Proficiency in and demonstrated ability to use databases and contract management systems
Demonstrated proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Excellent organizational and time management skills

Targeted Compensation: $75,000 - $90,000 annually
