Cloud Architect

The Musco Emerging Technologies Team has an opening for a Cloud Architect at our Urbandale office. If your experience aligns with the qualifications outlined below, we look forward to hearing from you!

Essential Criteria:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or relevant field
  • 5-10+ years' experience designing, executing and supporting IT cloud solutions
  • Positive attitude and a strong commitment to delivering quality work
  • Excellent knowledge of cloud computing technologies and current computing trends
  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal) to properly articulate complicated cloud reports to management and other development partners
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Innovative problem-solving with a team-oriented mindset.
  • Familiarity with Musco solutions is a plus.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Implement large scale, robust and scalable software solutions for our products and services
  • Research and integrate new cloud services that complement Musco’s suite of product offerings
  • Improve and maintain the automated video production pipeline & architecture
  • Create a well-informed cloud strategy and manage the adaption process
  • Evaluate cloud applications, hardware, and software
  • Develop and organize cloud systems
  • Work closely with IT security to monitor the company's cloud privacy
  • Identify top cloud architecture solutions to successfully meet the strategic needs of the company
  • Assist in developing design methodologies and choosing development tools
  • Participate in product design reviews, recommend design changes, recommend test strategies, and provide technical support and direction as needed
