Job SummaryThis roleis responsible forleading the team of system software engineers for the design, development, implementation, and maintenance ofsoftware development tools on a cross-organization Internal Developer Platform.Therole involves collaborating with cross-functionalteams, andensuring the successful deployment and operation of software solutions that align with business goals and technical requirements. The role defines and executes the overall software systems strategy, setting technical goals, priorities, and roadmaps aligned with business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct and ongoing leadership for a team of individual contributors designing andmanaging a set of Software Development Lifecycle tools

  • Coordinates projects for systems software,compliance management, patch management, as well as strategy for Platform Software Supply Chain.

  • Develops and executes testing strategies tovalidatesoftware system functionality, performance, and security.

  • Manages headcount, deliverables, schedules, and costs for multiple ongoing projects, ensuring that resources are appropriatelyallocatedand that goals,objectives, timelines, and budgets are metin accordance withprogram and organizational roadmaps.

  • Communicates project status and escalates issues to direct managers, program managers, and internal and external development partners.

  • Manages relationships with outsourced partners and suppliers, including setting expectationsregardingdeliverables, product quality, schedules, and costs; ensures that team members are effectively communicating and collaborating with outsourced resources.

  • Proactively identifies opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.

  • Provides people-care management for assigned team members, including hiring,settingandmonitoringof annual performance plans, coaching, and career development.

  • Ensures that proper knowledge and career development tools are in place to support ongoing teammemberand process development.

  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, proposing and implementing innovative solutions to enhance software systems.

Education & Experience Recommended

  • Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or any other related discipline orcommensuratework experience ordemonstratedcompetence.

  • Typically has 7-10 years of job-related experience or 5-7 years of management experience, preferably in systems engineering, computer programming language, or arelated field.

  • Certified Software Systems Engineer (CSSE)

  • Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP)

The pay range for this role is$130,700to$205,200USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only).
