Here's What Your Day-to-Day Might Look Like

You will spend your time designing and building modern microservices that replace aging systems with resilient cloud-based capabilities. Much of your work will involve developing Java Spring Boot services, exposing REST APIs, and ensuring those services handle complex data processing needs efficiently.

You will also use Python to optimize AWS services, automate workflows, and support scalable infrastructure. Collaboration is a core part of this role, working closely with engineers, architects, and mission stakeholders to refine requirements and deliver production-ready software.

On any given day, you may be implementing new features, improving performance, refining deployment pipelines, or integrating services across the cloud environment. Your work will follow Agile practices and rely on strong CI/CD pipelines to ensure consistent, reliable delivery.

Minimum Qualifications

Clearance: Active Top Secret Clearance with Full Scope Polygraph (required)Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related technical discipline from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience

• At least 9 years of relevant experience, OR a Master’s degree with at least 7 years of relevant experience

• Active Top Secret clearance with CI polygraph issued within the last 5 years

Required Skills

• Strong experience developing Java Spring Boot microservices

• Proficiency with Python for cloud automation and service optimization

• Experience building RESTful APIs and processing complex data objects

• Experience developing in cloud environments

• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Maven, GitLab, and GitOps practices

• Experience with container technologies including Kubernetes and Docker

• Experience with AWS toolsets

• Experience working with rules engines

• Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively across teams

Desired Skills

• Hands-on experience with AWS services such as Lambda, Step Functions, S3, and EC2

• Experience with document-oriented data stores such as MongoDB or OpenSearch

• Familiarity with relational databases including RDS, PostgreSQL, or Oracle

• Experience with automated testing frameworks such as Cucumber

Technology Stack

This role utilizes Java and Spring Boot for microservices development, Python for automation and cloud optimization, AWS services including Lambda, Step Functions, EC2, and S3, container platforms such as Kubernetes and Docker, CI/CD pipelines with Maven, GitLab, and GitOps practices, document databases like MongoDB and OpenSearch, relational databases such as PostgreSQL and Oracle, rules engines, RESTful API architectures, automated testing frameworks including Cucumber, and Agile development methodologies.

Compensation Range: $169,000.00 - $218,000.00 *The salary range provided reflects an estimate based on current market trends and may be adjusted based on factors such as the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications. The final offer will be tailored after a thorough evaluation of the candidate’s background and suitability for the role.
