Cloud Security Analyst (Contract-to-Hire)HIGHLIGHTSLocation:Remote (Eastern or Central Time Zone)Position Type: Contract to HireHourly / Salary:BOEResidency Status:US CitizenAn established organization is seeking a Cloud Security Analyst to support cloud security operations within a modern cloud-based technology environment. This role will assist with monitoring security activity, responding to alerts, and helping maintain a secure cloud infrastructure.This position offers the opportunity to work closely with internal technology teams to support security monitoring, incident response, and ongoing cloud security initiatives.Key Responsibilities
- Monitor cloud environments for security alerts, vulnerabilities, and suspicious activity
- Investigate alerts and assist with incident response and remediation efforts
- Support administration and governance of identity and access controls
- Assist with implementation and maintenance of cloud security monitoring tools
- Help identify and remediate potential security risks within cloud environments
- Maintain documentation for security processes and operational procedures
- Collaborate with internal technology teams to support security best practices
- Assist with automation of operational tasks using scripting or infrastructure tools
- Contribute to ongoing improvements to cloud security monitoring and response capabilities
- 3+ years of experience working with cloud platforms
- Experience supporting security monitoring, incident response, or threat investigation
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure components such as networking, storage, and compute services
- Experience working with security monitoring or SIEM tools
- Scripting or automation experience (PowerShell, Python, or similar)
- Understanding of identity and access management concepts
- Knowledge of general cloud security and governance best practices
- Experience supporting security operations within cloud environments
- Familiarity with security frameworks or compliance standards
- Experience building automation to support operational security tasks
