Job Description
Core Responsibilities of the CMM Operator:
Develop, modify, validate, and maintain CMM programs for production and first article inspections.Program and operate CMM equipment using PC-DMIS Software (Must know)Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.Apply advanced GD&T principles in accordance with ASME Y14.5.Support First Article Inspections in accordance with AS9102.Troubleshoot dimensional issues and support root cause investigations.Develop inspection methods and optimize measurement strategies to improve throughput and repeatability.Assist with gauge validation and measurement system studies.Provide technical support and training for inspectors and manufacturing personnel.Ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and company quality requirements.
Qualifications for the CMM Operator:
Minimum five (5) years of CMM Programming experienceMinimum five (5) years' experience interpreting complex GD&T requirementsHigh School Diploma or GED requiredAdvanced knowledge of PC-DMIS softwareExperience with:
Blueprint ReadingAerospace Machining and InspectionFirst Article Inspection RequirementsRoot Cause AnalysisPrecision Measuring Equipment
Knowledge and ability to use key measuring and product handling equipment.Basic computer program understanding.Interact and communicate in a professional and effective manner with all level of employees.Schedule and organize time and tasks effectivelyAbility to work in a challenging and schedule driven environmentStrong organizational skills.
