Job Description
CMM Operator (with CNC Experience) – Direct HireLocation: Marion, INPay: $27–$31/hour (based on experience)Schedule: 1st Shift | Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Pro Resources is partnering with a well-established manufacturing company in Marion, IN to hire a skilled CMM Operator for a direct hire opportunity. This is a great role for someone with strong inspection experience who also enjoys working hands-on with CNC equipment.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Set up and operate CMM equipment to inspect parts and assemblies
- Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, GD&T, and CAD data
- Perform dimensional inspections using tools like calipers, micrometers, and height gauges
- Create or edit CMM inspection programs
- Document and communicate inspection results, assisting with troubleshooting when needed
- Support production by operating CNC machines for part manufacturing or rework
- Perform setups, tool changes, and basic program adjustments or offsets
- Maintain equipment and ensure calibration records are up to date
- Assist with continuous improvement efforts within the quality department
What We’re Looking For:
- 2+ years of CMM experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience working with CNC machines (setup and/or program adjustments)
- Strong understanding of GD&T and mechanical drawings
- Experience with CMM programming/software
- Ability to use standard inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
- Solid computer and math skills
- Detail-oriented with a strong work ethic and team-first attitude
- Experience with Fanuc or Haas controls is a plus
