PAY RATE: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour, based on experience. Per diem available.
Experience-Based Pay Scale:
- 0 years: $20.00/hr
- 1–2 years: $20.75/hr
- 3–4 years: $21.50/hr
- 5–6 years: $23.00/hr
- 7–9 years: $23.75/hr
- 10–19 years: $24.50/hr
- 20+ years: $25.00/hr
- Per Diem: $21.50/hr
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Aaron Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our care team. In this role, you will provide essential daily living assistance and personal care to our residents, helping them maintain dignity, comfort, and quality of life under the supervision of licensed nursing staff.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, oral hygiene, and toileting
- Take and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure
- Assist with ambulation, transfers, and repositioning to prevent pressure injuries
- Serve and assist residents during meals; monitor food and fluid intake
- Observe and report changes in resident condition or behavior to nursing staff promptly
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment in resident rooms
- Respond to resident call lights and requests in a timely and compassionate manner
- Document care provided accurately in accordance with facility policies
- Participate in care plan meetings and follow individualized care plans
- Communicate respectfully and effectively with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
- Active Connecticut CNA certification in good standing (required)
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous long-term care or skilled nursing facility experience preferred
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs; stand and walk for extended periods
- Reliable, compassionate, and team-oriented
